6th Observation

Site: Snake River Ranch

Date: 5/19/08

Time: 4:30

Temp: 75 degrees

Weather: SUNNY!

Soil: dry

On the trees there are green leaves already!. But they are still small but not like before they have grown a lot more, during the day a bird starts to sing every afternoon it sounds like as if it would be whistling. There has been more ducks and geese. It seems like there are both female and male out in the field to find there nesting place for the mothers eggs, while one is laying down the other is looking if there is any danger.

Good job not only looking at the differences in the animals, but also looking at trees and their changes. What trees are in your area? Are they aspen or cottonwood or willow? Let's look at some pictures in the books during class to make some identifications. Also, think about the food web. If there are now more plants how will this affect the number of animals in the area?
